Workers will have greater purchasing power

The minimum wage in Portugal has new values for 2025. This increase, announced by the government, represents a rise of 50 euros compared to the amount in effect since the beginning of 2024. As of January 1, 2025, the minimum wage on the mainland is set at 870 euros per month, or 12,180 euros annually. The agreement reached through social dialogue also includes updates for other salary levels. The average monthly reference salary for 2025 will be 1,580 euros, representing an increase of 5%.
